I'm using Castrol 4T full syn 10/50 since I can't find M-1 4T full syn 15/50 in my area. I can find car M-1 15/50 but not motorcycle formula.

Do any of you guys have a line on the M-1 4T full syn 15/50 motorcycle formula ?

wet clutch application is the biggy... I'm currently running Harley Davidson branded GASP!! full synthetic 10W40... I have mostly run Castrol but I will be moving to Amsoil next oil change as one of my buddies is now an Amsoil distributor...

The problem is that certain configurations demand different oils.
Carpenter's cams are very aggressive and demand a higher zinc content in the oil than stock. These cams produce a higher load than stock on the tappets and need a "zinc": film to protect the cams and tappets.
I have just received Amsoil's Z Rod 20W/50 oil which has high zinc levels for my Carpentered engine which I will use for my next oil change.
PS. If you haven't had Carpenter do your engine....you have no idea what you are missing!
