What is the best way to cut/trim the Bearclaw?

Hey, that looks familiar..... I haven't been around much in the last couple years. I'm glad that I'm still of some use even when I'm not around :)

ps... This place sure looks different.

Yes, I got the idea from you on the other board. Left you a thanks there for it....

This board was upgraded not too long ago. Welcome back!

Thanks man.... It's funny I stumbled across this post. I was actually thinking that I still haven't cut my bear claw, so I was looking for ideas. I noticed your link back to the other site and looked to see what it was. I'm surprised it was even still there. Good thing I never deleted those pics off photobucket. Your install looks good. I must have mounted mine at a slightly different angle than yours was under the tank because I didn't have any contact with the sensor. I like the catch tank under the seat though. I like to be able to see what I've done with my bike and this mod is lost and forgotten under the fuel tank. I guess it's better than being reminded by puddles of coolant though.....

Thanks Skip. I hope to be around a bit more. I'm trying to get my priorities arranged. Unfortunately the Rocket hasn't been as far up the list as it should be.....

Good to see you back. If you get those priorities arranged, arrange them so you can go to the Maggie Valley gathering May 13-16. Lots of folks will be there.

I currently have a metal canteen (U.S. Army issue) where the under seat air filter use to live.
Fits nicely in there.
drill a hole or two (2)
use some 3M yellow gasket sealer and presto chango
a perfect overflow bottle.
oh yea, it was $5.00 at the Army surplus store, and I had the 3M already...
Cheaper than my water bottle, hidden, secure, an just the way I like it,
Different...........

I salute you. Looking forward to meeting you at Maggie Valley

Thanks Skip.

Well, it is finished. I just hobbled my 'ole broke self out to my shed and mounted the BearClaw; I found some nice trim that matched the colors of the OuterWear prefilters. What do you think of it? Is it too much? (looks better in person than the pic):

It looks great, Will. Great job. Now will you do mine for me? Did you also remove the secondaries? Where did you get the filter covers?

1. Thank you.
2. No, unfortunately I can't at this time.
3. Left secondaries in for now.
4. Got the filter covers from here:
