What is the best way to cut/trim the Bearclaw?

Thanks Skip.

Well, it is finished. I just hobbled my 'ole broke self out to my shed and mounted the BearClaw; I found some nice trim that matched the colors of the OuterWear prefilters. What do you think of it? Is it too much? (looks better in person than the pic):

I'm going to "cant" the filters to the left, after I do Idk's "balancing the throttle bodies" sticky that he posted in the "How To" forum.....

Got the coolant catch can hooked up as well (finally). Not sure If I'm going to seal up the airbox too keep it nice and clean. We'll see.....

I haven't started it yet though, I still need to download a diffent Tune into the ECU.

I imagine that the pleats of the K&N's will be more visible (in shape) under the OuterWear prefilters; when the engine starts breathing air?

You do realise that by cutting the bearclaw you will have released the crickets. :eek:ops2:

P.S. It's looking good.

"Crickets"? ....negative Ghost Rider; I hope that I have unleashed the "Kraken" from within my beast, by doing this...... ;)

...though I am very curious to hear what she sounds like; with the OEM intake removed and all. At any rate, "crickets" won't bother me; I wear a Fullface and normally plugs on the roads anyway.

After doing the 3x K&N install, I rode for several months without the bearclaw on. At first, the "crickets" and the intake sound, i.e. roar, were welcome. However, over time the intake noise was a bit overwhelming and I re-installed the bearclaw. I still get some noise but it's now tolerable.
