Must have dropped mine 5 or 6 times i guess, remember twice having to get it back up myself, once with luggage. The other times there were people around .. i've found looking really f#cked off (not hard given the situation) and yelling " don't just stand there you f#ckwit .. gimme a f#ckin hand" seems to muster the required assistance.

The embarrassment

As some of the RDU guys would remember I dropped my R3R on an RDU ride. Stopped at some road works clicked the bike into neutral and switched engine off. Time for a stretch. ...... ruled forward off the stand. ....I let it down gently (off balance) in front of 10-12 other R3s:p ....I turned and picked it up straight away (no engine bars) don't know if I could do that if I wasn't so phucking embarrassed. . Broke the clutch lever clean off. Lesson learned. .. always leave in gear.

Really mate first time I've heard about that.

When I crashed mine it ended up laying sideways across the double unbroken lines in the middle of about six S bends. With blind corners in both directions my first thought was get it of the road before we get cleaned up by someone riding a motorcycle way to fast. I ran over to it and flicked it up onto it's wheels like it was a toy.

Mittzy i just assumed you were some sort of karate little grasshopper type with superhuman strength .. was just embarrassment you reckon

I put my r3 down going down a very steep mountain range ,on my own I managed to gather my thoughts and 2 hours later totally exhausted blood oozing from my cuts and abrasions after several attempts I finally got her up. That was the worst time of a couple of times she has been laid down ,

Something happens to the molecules. For the first 30 seconds on its side the bike's actually about half normal weight. It adds a kg per second after that so you don't have much time. After 2 hours Peter, it would weigh over 6,000 kg. You must be superman!
