What gear to have everyday and on long trips.

Toilet paper

Yup on the wipes or spray lens cleaner for the windshield. Yup on the spare key as well. Never did the toilet paper. I always have a micro fiber cloth or two on the bike and a pair of nitrile gloves if things get messy.:thumbsdown: That is not an emergency stop I want to have to make. :):rolleyes::banghead:

Some may see all this stuff as overkill, but remember...it also puts you in a better position to help someone else that may be stranded.

Agreed!
My jump start battery and electric tire pump have helped others several times.

Its all or nothing for me .
When you start thinking of things to take where does it end .
You might as well get a car .

Bike
Crash hat
gloves
boots
phone
bank card / cash
Glasses (that I hate wearing but I have to wear when I get tired and it gets late)

Otherwise enjoy the ride and road and forget about the stuff .

( And rely on good breakdown cover the wife ,family ,friends and the occasional stranger when all goes tits up ;) )

I carry spare fuses taped to the OB cable, that way I can't leave them behind.

A tool roll kit, a micro socket set and a flexi screwdriver/socket set hex keys and a fuel syphon set For that rider who forgets to get fuel at the last gas station.

But then again I always have the panniers attached to the beast so have room for all that stuff but do need the tire repair kit and pump.

A ) Better tool kit than Triumph
A small test light
A small amp meter
A small tire kit & air pump
B ) Spare Clutch Cable
C ) Small set of booster cable
D ) Disc Lock with Siren for parking over nite
E ) I've just ordered a Noco Booster Pac because we are leaving 4 bikes we split the cost between everyone. Minimal cost 40"$ Can each. When we get back
we are having a raffle between us.
F ) 1 spare qt of oil for top ups if need be.
G ) 1 small very thin bike tarp to hide the bike at nite & to keep people from touching. What they can't see won't attract them closer.
and then my camping & cloths.
H ) TOILET PAPER ( very important )
Yes my bags are full but since I ride mostly alone well it's my safety net.
