West Aust numberplates

I love a happy ending...

What size are Eastern states plates?

Bout the size of the smaller ones you can get here .. I just don't want to loose my 'fly under the radar' ability when I change over. Got my plate mounted up on the rear guard .. when I bolt on the sissy bar/rack combo the plate disappears .. WA plate could be seen from a orbiting f#cking spacestation it's that big and bright.

Seen them and similar devices .. thing is you still need to be on the lookout all the time .. and hit the button in time. These f#ckin supernova or whatever you got over here sound downright evil .. can't even see them until they flash you .. better just cover the plate and enjoy your ride I reckon.

My thinking is ride with it down and then flip it up when one is no longer being naughty. Have to agree you'd need to be fairly vigilant and that might detract form the riding experience.

I don't know how they get away with any variation now that (in NSW at least) The Highway Patrol cars all have Number plate Recognition Devices in their cars ,I know people who have been stopped because of number plate frames encroaching onto the surface of a perfectly legal standard plate and made to remove it before proceeding ,We used to have to wipe our plates on the Semi Trailers after being under the grain loaders so Mr Plod could read our plates if he wanted to at 2.0am.

...and I'll bet the ANPR systems scream at the cop driving, if they can't read a plate like they expect to.....

Big u-ey, much disco lights, kick up arse.......plus fine for obscured plate, and prolly some extra fine if you've got a flipper or infra-red gadget on....

No bloody sense of humour any more.................

But fixed cameras cannot chase one, can they...????
