STRIPES
\\\STRIPES/// going to the HD shop.
I got some nice chrome P-Clamps (1 1/4") from a local fabricating shop.
Got some slightly longer bolts to make up for the extra 1/4" from the P-Clamp..
The bolts threaded right through the wall of the Weapon-R can, causing it to leak viciously all over the floor and bike.
What a POS. For the price I expect the walls of the Weapon-R can to at least PRETEND to be sturdy. It's like the spot they welded the screw threads onto was critically weakened by the process, bolts cut into the can like butter.
Waste of money.
Now I'm out 55 for the can, and 60 wasted on the hard-chromed P-Clamps. How lame.
Mine has lasted quite well even after some rather abrupt dropping of the front wheel back down to the ground. No problems. Love my canister. Will take pics today.
And, really... Being upset at a product failing during operation is one thing, but complaining after YOU break it is questionable at the least. After all...the walls of the canister are cast or extruded aluminum. Of course the wall is going to break if you torque a bolt even slightly against it. Did you think the corners of the bolt would round off before the canister wall cracked? Not sure if I would have admitted doing that.
