water spots on rims

Man, in weather like you guys must be having....if you are polishing your rims you may as well buy a Harley. Get out and ride, save cleaning your rims for the winter or something.

The comment above (especially about the Harley comment) was made in fun, I'm just jealous...I have no Triumph.

blue coral wash and wash, thats only thing ive used Ive washed it maybe 3 times since memorial weekend when I bought it,very diassapointing!!!!!!

Then yes, I think you got yourself some defective wheels. I've never had that issue on any Triumph (have owned 4). Best of luck, hope you get it resolved!

Was doing a minor detail (weathers to nice to spend the required "cleaning" time :D)
today and noticed the same thing. Ive only used an approved cleaner for the rims. One that states specifically for Plastic,ABS and clear coated aluminum rims. I have not used it alot but once or twice now. I have what lookslike water spots but its more like the rims is dirty but not a dark color dirt. Sort of like when you spill a clear soda on something and it dries. Not sure what to make of it. Gues the powder coat is coming sooner than I thought.

post here if you get anywhere. I would be glad to join the search for the problem

Just an FYI, but I use WD40 to clean my wheels. It cuts the dirt, grime, brake dust, chain lube (in my Tiger's case), etc... like a hot knife thru butter. It's safe and it also makes cleaning the next time a bit easier because it leaves a bit of a barrier.

Welcome to the club, you just described everybodys problem

Ahhhh the joys of bike ownership. I like the WD40 thing. Got a boat load at my disposal. Ill try it and see how it works out. Im sure it will be better than what im using now. That stuff is an all purpose spray isnt it? :p ( I think this smily is on the twinkle side!...not that theres anything wrong with that...... This will be the last time I use it)
