I ran across these vortex air flow creators in an auto rag: http://turbonator.com
and was thinking they might give a performance boost if three small ones are fitted to each throttle body before the air filter.

But after thinking, I don't think they'll do anything but restrict air flow since the air intake butterflies are going to disrupt any kind of vortex flow when the air moves past them. The Turbonator turbine fins will also block air flow a tad. They might work if both primary and secondary throttle plates are removed. What do you performance gurus think?

i am probably not the guru you seek. however, i've always thought those
things were "snake oil" at best. the two people i know who have tried the
vortex airflows (a ford mustang owner and a corvette owner) didnt notice any performance difference with the vortex installed. but you may in something as light as a motorcycle. personally, i wouldnt bother with it.

While the concept is "technically sound" it has proven worthless in real testing. Seriously, don't waste one more minute on it 'Bro...
