I finally received my new "custom" made Clearview Shield on Friday. I ordered it with the vent and it looks pretty good.

It appears I can hear my Cycle Sound stereo pretty well at speeds of 65 mph or below. Still may invest in the volume switch they offer. Before the new wind shield you couldn't hear too well at 45 mph.

Pianoman, is this the same setup you have?

Here are some pics of it.

Looks pretty nice! Any trouble with buffeting?

I've got the taller of Triumph's 'screens, and it's not quite tall enough; I get a good amount of buffeting, right at the top of my helmet.

How do you like the little vent doohickey? Is it worth the extra bucks?

Put mine on last month and I have to say the vent is worth the extra money. It's a quality shield and should hold up well. I haven't ridden in the rain with it yet so we'll see if it spits water through the vent when closed.

Ive had mine for about a year now. I love the taller wider screen. Im not sure if the vent moves much air or not. Ive played with it open an closed. No substancial rain comes through it.

I'm wondering when someone will come out with a semi-enclosed cabin for the Rocket?

You could be like the pope and ride in a Plexi bubble..........................:D

For me, I like the Triumph windscreen with the lowers just fine. I've been in monsoons with it and thye only thing that gets wet is my chin......and the beard soaks that up.

What I would question is the proprietary coating on the Clearview, if any. I wonder how abrasion resistant it is.

That's the set up I have minus the pipe organ behind it...lol I like the vent except when it's hot like it was today (107) nothing helps except keeping your ass parked in front of the a.c.:)

Clearview Convert

Welcome to the higher, quieter and more air flow windshield. The only difference between mine and yours is they put the vent barely above the chrome cross piece and it's hard to get in there to clean. The good news is I don't look through that part anyway.

I rode for a while today and the temperature was over 100. At that number, opening the vent only allowed a lot more hot air to hit me...... so I rode with it closed.
