Valve Adjustment

My mates Rocket has 87000miles on the clock. Yesterday he asked me to check his valve clearance as they were last done at 30k. Every one of them was outside their spec. (All too much clearance) The cam chain was also toast.So out with the camshafts and after a bit of measuring we needed 8 shims and a timing chain. When we placed an order ,Triumph told us that we couldn't order a chain, it was a kit with the two camshaft sprockets. So parts on order and will hopfully get it back together this weekend.

Another Triumph rep with no clue. Chain is available separately. Part number T1143200. This is listed for newer model Rockets but fits on the older as well. I just ordered and installed one on an '05. Maybe you can cancel your order so you don't have to pay for two sprockets you don't need.
