Lots of life left in that tire! Dont change it! The big lug you see that looks like a wear bar is part of the tread pattern. The little lug you see inside the groove with the letters on it is the actual wear bar.

Too late, just picked the bike back up, I do ride in all weather (in Belgium that means a lot of rain) its my daily ride, the new one will stay on longer as its end of life will be during the summer, now that I zoom in I see the T(ire) W(ear) I(ndicator) wow this tire does last long, on my M109R the Metzelers last 12000km and they are gone!!

That tire was as safe in the rain as a new one is. Im guessing you had a couple of thousand miles left on it. But being overly careful never hurt anyone! Btw, congrats on making those snakes disappear!

Thanks, well at leased I used the entire width of the tire lol, I seriously thought I was practically at the indicators, next one will go untill the 2nd service for sure!
I think I got my monies worth out of these tires about 8500 on the rear Metzler. Just put new Cobra Chromes on front and rear. Ran out of rubber in San Luis Obisbo on way back to Los Angeles

Weather conditions here won’t allow to go that far though.
My Metzlers were also used over the entire width on the M1800R, picture is after a day in the Eifel (Germany)
