Hi all,

I put my deposit down last Saturday on a new 07 black R3, after a test ride on a demo machine. Should get my bike in the next two weeks sometime. Very much looking forward to it! Have owned 18 bikes in the last 19 years so something unique and very different is going to be a great experience I hope. Should make my current grunt machine, GSX1400, seem a little puny!

So hello to all ! Any North Yorkshire riders on the forum?

Thought you might be interested to know I wasn't allowed to join the UK forum (www.r111ownersclub.co.ukhttp://r111.proboards79.com/index.cgi) - they simply replied to my registration with:

"Inappropriate name for a family motorcylce club web site"

No "sorry mate, we try to avoid those types of names - if you'd like to pick another we'd be glad to sign you up". So I came here instead - no such issues with my name at all (nor with any of the other forums I've signed up to in the last 5 years".

Friendly eh?!

I've seen avatars much more disgusting than naming handles. And perhaps that snooty site you relate to wouldn't have allowed them either. Who knows.

I did refuse a name once, it was inbedded with swear words. Turns out the guy was Japanese and that was the literal translation. Go figure. After that I decided to see what the new member is like before I keep them from joining up.

Plus... I kinda hoped you knew Jenna Jameson or Nikki Nova

I don't know if the beast will keep your interests for very long but welcome to the place where you can change just about anything so it just might. Welcome to the other addicts society and some here still perform however with a little less aplomb.
