Tyre problems
Hi guys i have a small problem with my rear tyre hopping some one can advice me

i have a 2008 Tourer they did a tyre recall at 250 miles so then they fitted a Metzeler

This has now done 8900 miles not a bad mileage the only thing is it has worn out on one side and uneven round the tyre which is a bit odd.I have posted some photos the wear is bad on the tyre and have been thinking may be there is a problem with the bike not the tyre?????
Anyone got any throughts...............
and no i have not been going round lots of roundabouts

My guess is that its at least partly due to the crown of your roads. Whatever the reason, that tire's done. Not bad mileage, about what I've got on my Metzlers and they're also ready to be replaced.

Yes the crown would do some of that its just the wear on one side which is the problem....
 

I would jack her up and run an dial indicator on the inside and face of the rim (both sides) if thats the rear shoe I would be concerned as to whether the bushing is installed on the inside on the differential side. Of course I would check to insure all bushings on both fron and back wheels are installed properly. Your rim looks to be wobbleing to me. Just a wild guess but for safety (yours) I would check anway.
 
Thanks Warp9.9 i have booked it in to a dealer to have the tyre fitted and will get them to look at the bushing when they do the tyre,i know it is not right just did not know what, they say they will check them out for me
 
Is one arse cheek heavier than the other, stop drinking and driving I can see you hanging off the bike riding home slooshed.
Start going around the round a bouts the wrong way to even up the wear, okay I will shut ti f**k up now.
 
Of course non of this abnormal wear has anything to do with Metzler tires being junk to start with.

WE drive on the wrong side of the road .....after 3 weeks holiday in the states last month i would say you drive on the wrong side and as for roundabouts well they confuse the S**T out of most of your drivers ...i was more R/B near misses over there than i have seen in a life time here and we were only there 3 weeks Oh your cars all have the steering wheel on the wrong side to be any good.(here speak a Brit who wore a Triumph tee shirt with a big union jack on the back on July 4th in Boston )I can only say what would i have been like over there if we had won
