Going mad, have bought a new longelec connector cable, downloaded Tune ECU, unzipped the file, downloaded the driver from Dx222.com used driver 2.12.26. Disconnect the wifi and unzipped the file and setup a new folder in C:/ Tune ECU Drivers. My problem is the drivers are not been reconised. i am using a Microsoft surface pro. Just dont seem to de able to make computer, driver , cable and of course the ecu in 2012 rocket talk to each other. Does any one out there no whants gone wrong??? or better still do you have the correct driver etc if im doing something wrong. All help appreciated. Tony

Try deleting and reinstalling. I have the same setup as you and it works fine. There's something about it in the Lonelec instructions. Rather than downloading a driver let the computer "find" it.
Hope that helps.

What Blackthou said ---delete and reinstall worked for me ! also I found the OBD plug on my bike was in poor condition and needed a good clean

This probably wont be much help but I tried to set up my Tune ECU on my Asus Notebook similar to the Surface Pro and runs Windows 10, nothing I did could get it to connect. I will stand corrected but I think the tablet Win10 is different than the laptop version and has forced driver signing that you cannot get round.

Thought it would be great to be able to carry my tablet with its lightweight and long battery life to the garage, also useful when going on holiday as I usually have my tablet. No such luck. My laptops Win10 and it works fine.

I tried what you've done too. Tried different cables and different bikes. Gave up if its doable I'm really interested.

Going to watch this thread.

Thanks for the reply. Windows says the device is working properly, and the driver is up to date . Still cant get any action out of the cable. The computer wont recognise the usb when connecting. Have checked the com5 port. Ant other ideas would be appreciated.

Had an idear, connected the cable that came witt the dealer tool software. I have a red light illuminated on the cable so assume the com port is okay. I now wondering if i have a bad cable. Went for the lonelec cable as i wanted to avoid this type of connection issue.???????. Cant check the ecu tonight as my wife is getting pi ed with all the time im spending at the computer.

I don't think the light on the cables indicates anything other than power. I feel your pain. It's one of the most frustrating computer things I've ever experienced. Took me 5 weeks to finally hook up to the ECU and change the tune. I took pages and pages of notes hoping to avoid repeating mistakes (mostly that (&&^%$$ driver issue). My computer crashed and I lost everything on the hard drive last fall and I simply don't want to even try to figure it out again. My notes don't make any sense at all and the bike runs fine. I'm done with Tune ECU!

Maybe a daft suggestion but gave you got connect turned on on the TuneECU menu to enable it to connect?
