Has anyone tried these bags with easy brackets: http://www.tsukayu.com/Coner.htm? I know there have been several people with Strong/Jumbo Strong + Easy Bracket installations. However, i like the look of the Corner bags better, but am wondering if the curved back side will prohibit bracket installation.

While we are on the subject, how long is the R3 Easy Bracket, anyways?

Thanks for any help!

Just been out to the garage with a tape, and the RIII Easybrackets are 30 cm long by 12 cm deep.

I have them fitted to Hepko & Becker panniers.

After considering several options, settled on these HD bags for my Roadster. Got the idea from someone on the RAT site. These are definitely not huge, but perfect for around town for me, and don't make the Roadster look too bulky for my liking, which I think Tsukayus would. Attached with Easy brackets.

RoecketEd,

HD part#53015-05B.

Got mine new for $600 shipped from Manchester Harley. However, there are usually a few used ones on e-bay. Not dirt cheap, but they are lockable and leather-covered, plus look good on the R3R, and nicely clear the turn signals.

The bags came with HD mounting hardware riveted on, so I had to drill out 4 rivets on each bag to remove the softail-specific mounts. FYI: The bags are not identical in volume -- the left one is smaller on the inside, due to whatever asymmetry of the Softail. I had to use spacers and longer lower bolts on the left bag to mount the brackets. Other than that, the installation went smoothly.

Now I just need a quick-release sissy bar, and I will be a very happy camper!

Thanks for the feedback, Dache. Wish I'd tried this instead of LeatherLykes.

The R3T has the same bolt center distance in the fender rails. Maybe the whole quick release R3T sissy bar set up will fit?

RocketEd,

The R3T quick release sissy bar would be a great option, however the problem is that on R3T the rear tire and fender are considerably more narrow than on other R3s, so there would have to be some customization/bending involved to widen the sissy bar. If anyone has tried it, I would be curious to hear!
