It MIGHT be as simple as modifying the R3R sissy bar side brackets to accept the quick change nubbins. You'd have to do some side-by-side cimparisons.

Edit: (In my best Emily Lotilla voice) Nevermind. I got a look at an R3TSE today and there's quite a bit of monkey motion going on there.
