triple filter quick question

I'm considering going to a triple filter setup when I re-tune, etc this summer. I'm concerned with noise though. Although I like exhaust note, I don't like that vacuum sound an aggressive intake makes (at least on my atv's, etc) Is the sound noticeable? Bothersome? Thanks in advance, proly a stupid question I know.

Interestingly this topic arises quite a lot. Personally I wear ear plugs riding, & have never been bothered by the "crickets" that some complain of. Possibly due to removing the 2ndry butterflies, I get less of that .The intake roar IS more pronounced, but to me it just sounds great! ( more aggressive, but nowhere near intrusive)

Ya know, I don't hear them crickets anymore
since I pulled my TORS off awhile back
and put my 3 into 1 open pipe back on there.

I say; let her make all of the noise she wants. She's a living, breathing beast of fire and fury when woken from her slumber; to be critical of her vocal presence is almost Kafkaesque in purpose...

That's what I'm afraid of. A lot of $ and bother doing the tune, etc (not a computer guy) and then having this issue. I might take rocketandrollit's advice and drive south one day to experience it first. Thanks for the offer BTW randroll!

First: I don't disagree about her being alive. I'm realizing that more and more each day. However I'm an avid gun enthusiast and a waterfowl hunting guide who is SURROUNDED by loud noises daily. For some reason certain tones/frequencies bother me. My atv intake drove me nuts.

rentalrider, you probably will not like the sound.
The crickets referred to is a metallic chirping sound, perhaps valve train noise, at certain rpms.
There is also a kinda jackhammer rapping noise, too. Not pretty at all.
I, too wear ear plugs, so I don't hear the crickets.
I want power, and if that's what rocket power sounds like, so be it ;-)

Has anyone compared a K&N single filter with the separate triple filter setup on the dyno? I'd love to see the results. Is the PIA of modifying the bear claw and increased noise really worth the change?
