Personally I first check to see any signs of visible damage / cracking or splits , then pull them from their connectors to make sure the ends are not split and the connectors have not cracked . The plastic connectors do go brittle over time . Silicon vacuum hose is cheap , it's far easier to replace than doubt !

Also if they r hard they break when u bend them and make sure all three r the same length going to the map sensor and u may have rubber plugs on the throttle bodies.

Nat67, Real dummy asking once again - what size are the vacuum hoses, availability here in UK, and plastic connectors? Where best to acquire?

Bloody Hell, now you got me . Don't quote me as I have never yet had to replace any but I would has at a guess , 8mm external diameter with around 5mm internal ? I am sure I may possibly be corrected by someone who has actually measured them ! The plastic connectors, being on the map sensor
And the triple joiner are going to be Triumph parts ?

Silicone vacuum hoses ! Brings up a plethora of choice on flea bay .

I can't remember if the MAP spigot is part of the sensor or not. Has anybody got their tank "up".?

A 4 way - (one to each cylinder plus one to MAP) could easily be knocked up if it breaks.

@warp9.9 Well I must let you know that I cleared the codes after reading an old post of yours on how to do it and everything is fine now.

I have the the black engine which does not show the oil as well sliver would.

Have ordered o-rings and will be here next week.

I did undo the two long bolts gave it a twist and did the bolts up. No joy think it got worse.

I would advise buying yourself a good quality flexible drive screwdriver with interchangeable torxs and Allen heads . Invaluable for undoing throttle body and intake hose clamps !
