Some where I had posted the steps on this site this year but I have note found it yet. Someone might come along that saved it.

Thanks warp 9.9 I have something else on today otherwise I would be in the garage now getting it done. Will spend Sunday getting it done.
Spoke to my daughters friends dad last night and turns out that he is a FORD mechanic and tech when dropping her off at an event. Said he could help out. When I went back to collect her he had downloaded the workshop manual to his phone and had read up about fixing it. Said it looks like a fiddly job.

I found this on one of my post which has to do with linking up to the ecu in case you run into a problem I am still looking for the ISCV instruction post I did.

Ok first I am not a computer geek and sometimes mine has problems.
that being said in the tune ecu once it is open check the following
1. is under the menu item "Options" ----- "interface" --------- "USB" the cable with checkmark in front of displayed?

2. is under the menu items "Options" setting "for auto-connect"? On or Off.

If Off (no checkmark in front of "auto-connect" then go to the menu option "ECU"and choose "Connect"

I always pull the fuse but not sure if I loose anything on the gauges but then mine is not a roadster model. with a battery charger hooked up I see no reason to pull the fuse without a charger you could end up running out of power before you complete. If you want to pull the headlight fuse maybe you pulling the wrong fuse?
Anyway before hooking up to the bike you want to make sure you already have opened the map your going to use then you can shut tune ecu down. I first before opening tune ecu connect the cable to the USB port and usually hear the dadonk sound of the computer recognizing the cable, I then plug it into the bike and get the blue light. after that I turn the bike key on with the red ignition/kill button on in fact I never turn that switch off just use the key. once the bike has gone thru its gauge sweep stuff. I open tune ecu. If it is set on auto connect it links up. if not I look and see if the USB has the check mark as stated above #1 then if its not in auto connect I go to the menu option and click connect. Sometimes you do not get a green light but you also do not get a warning that ecu is not responding. so I go to the test page and double click the fan test and if the fan turns on I know I am linked up with the ecu and I proceed with what ever I was going to do.

Before you do this and before you hook to the bike I would look at the idle setting on the map and change the idle rpm to 940 on all but the first two if they are higher. I am talking about the -17 cell and the 17 degree ones which are usually a wee bit higher. if you make changes you have to save the map either as it is or under a new name so you always have the last map it ran on as a back up map in your files. I have heard some guys have problems with the auto connect but never when the use the tab and tell it to connect. that being said mine is on auto connect but I still check the USB port communications as sometimes the check mark disappears, say when the system does a automatic updates over night.

Well in the garage with everything ready to hook up cable to bike and nothing.

Oh crap. Then I think I don't have the driver for the cable installed so doing reboot now.

Well got TPS to 0.64 volts. Which was difficult as that put it hard against the screw.

Then comes up with adjust ISCV NUT until you read 0.72 volts. Well I couldn't find that so figured just skip that. Put all of the bits back on the bike and fire it up and straight to 3000 Rpms. With no sign of it going back down.

So hook up tune ECU again and TPS is at. 97 volts....
