I found this Video file of the TORS with a Cat bypass, I've read several are interested in the sound, so hear it is!

I thinkd they sound awesome, I've got this setup on order, a X-Mas present and can't wait. :D

Here's the web site I found it at, the link above is to a Putfile copy accessing the website was a bit slow so I copied it to Putfile? the file is almost 4 megs in size.

Yessir. I've actually heard another soundfile of the rocket III w/TORS and catbox bypass that didn't accurately reproduce the sound. I have that set up and your vid does reproduce the sound exactly. That being said, it is a lot louder than it sounds unless you crank up the volume on your speakers. It is deafeningly loud and unless your helmet insulates very well you will feel like you are going deaf. Your ears will ring after each ride, I assure you. So either wear earplugs or you may damage your ears. It is truly a very raspy and loud sound. Just my 2 cents.

Last summer at Street Vibrations I heard the TORs with Cat bypass and the Jardines side by side, the Jardines are just a little bit deeper and more resonant than the TORS but not by much, what made me select the TORs is that I like the looks of the 3 pipes coming off the back better than the 2 pipes, this is a Triple isn't it?

Now if the UPS guy would just deliver them I would be happy to install them. According to UPS tracking my Tuneboy is scheduled to be delivered at any moment, I haven't been notified as to when the pipes are going to be here.....

They say that patience comes with age and I say BS I'm old and impatient, where are my pipes?????.....

thankyou for this post. i was ready to order a cat by pass and TORS until i heard what they really sound like. i prefer a lower throaty rumble (a carry over from my v-twin days i suppose). the TORS are a bit to raspy
sounding to me, a little like those "belch pipe" mufflers some kids are using on their tuners these days.

quietman,
your not ever going to get that lobing sound
of a V twin, there is that extra cylinder in between the
lobe.
I Refreshed the link above ( post above yours )
so you can hear every exhaust make for R3 other then
a custom built one.
R3 will be a graspy sound

I not sure patience happens at any age when you ride an R3, I think it is about getting things done on the rocket yesterday

Warhorse, If we were truly patient we would be riding 50cc scooters or Harleys.

Most men at my age are looking forward to a good round of golf, I am looking forward to my annual week and a half long ride with a dozen or or friends in April, we go thru California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and yes, even spending a night in your Great State of Texas.

During a discussion on tailgators I made the statement that "if someone tailgates me they will get a ticket", one of the guys said "yes for Tailgating" I said "no for speeding........." 8)
