took a tumble on the rocket Monday morning

Glad your ok Mate.
I love my ABS for exactly this reason..
I was on the freeway on Tuesday (Returning home from CES) riding in the fast lane minding my own business and noticed the car being driven by a new provisional licenced driver (Red P Plate) in the next lane slowly moving towards me over the line so I gave him a toot with the Steble only to see his girlfriend emerge from his lap licking her lips and pulling her hair back behind her ears. I gotta say while i was jealous I was also really pissed off that my (or anyone else's life is only worth a head job.
I am looking into dash cams for motorcycles just n case someone does a runner on me just like the OP here.

He turned into the gas station before assessing the situation and fleeing. There was at least some hope that the surveillance camera got his plate # but I haven't heard anything back from the cops so I am not hopeful that anything will result from that.
Yes I hear great things about bikes with abs. Maybe it's time to try it out.

GOODONYA! For AGAT!
ABS would have helped as your front tire washed out after sliding a short distance.
In all the testing I am aware of the longest front wheel skid I've seen was only 11 feet and that was by a VERY professional rider.
Usually they are 2 to 4 feet long with a curved tail off the forward end where the wheel goes sideways.
SIX ribs will likely be excruciating. I busted the large top five ribs on my right side from a racing crash when I was 30 years younger and it was HORRIBLE!
Best wishes to you for a speedy and complete recovery!!!

If you find a good camera for the bike let me know

Hey Brother, Glad you were not down long as that is a perilous position to be in. Sorry you took rib damage and road rash but it could have been worse. I know you are thankful and we all are too. Get well soon my friend!
Chris

Sorry to here about your off, broken ribs, Ive done that too, only 1 though, your spirits seem good, that's important, my bike has the ABS and I'm greatfull for them, havn't had to put them to the test yet. Listen to the advice ^^^^ and you'll be smiling soon, glad it wasn't worse, sounds like you did an admirable job keeping things together!!!

Rest well,

Hoopla
