I got a e-mail from Dennis Kirt MCs. Checked on their rear tires . I ordered a Bridgestone 240 /55/16 , to have on hand . Cost delivered $168.00 . I have been running these tires . Not only a lot more affordable but also ride great , including the twistiest in the eastern part of Oklahoma.
May a bit big for the stocking , but will work for me

The Excedra Max is a definite step up from the OEM Metz, IMHO.

What's the ride difference between the stock 240/50/16 and the 240/55/16?

The price difference is great.

Profile. The 55 has more sidewall. Rides smoother - more air! It also increases the rolling circumference, giving slightly taller gearing. Not by much but actually pretty much corrects your speedo. I find it fits the power band better coming out of corners, but that's just because of the way I ride.

My question is are you running a trailer Hitch, I have a Hitch Doc the 245\55 would not clear only the 50 did not know if you are running a "Hitch" but just thought I would throw that in hoping to save some aggravation.

Don't think that would be a problem with a 55 profile MT, Jesse, although I do know Hanso had the same issues as you with his 245/55 CT.

My issues were not hitch related only the wiring up inside the guard because guard is curved and tyre square and only a probvlem if you do like I did and that was to run the Fornales below the recomended pressure and then put the weight of trailer and passenger on,seemed Ok till I happen to hit a couple of big potholes the tyre chewed the wireing a bit

Was about to pull the trigger on the 240/55/16 from DK but found a 240/50/16 on Ebay for $185 shipped. Now to find someone to install it for cheap.

Yeah yeah, got it a bit wrong. The point was you also had clearance issues with the 55 CT. It's not a problem with a 55 MT
