Throttle lock cruise control

Ok, thanks anyway.

I have used the BrakeAway Cruise control on several bikes, and now on my 2013 Roadster. I really like it. I feel like it's a better option than the friction knob types because of the release mechanism. You can adjust the sensitivity to your liking. There's a release button of course, but also if you touch the brake lever it releases instantly. Put one on my sons FJR 1300 as well for our long X/C to Vegas, and it was worth every penny.
They have been around a long time and they are truly top notch quality machined parts. Takes a couple hours to install and adjust. This is the only pic I found on my computer. I'd take better one but I'm not near the bike just now.

BrakeAway Motorcycle Cruise Control

That type only fit on stock 1" bars don't they? I think you need to push the control switch gear up the bar to fit the BrakeAway Cruise control unit and then the hand grip. Unfortunately with extra wide T- bars they only leave enough 1" bar profile at the end for the switch gear and grip. I would have to return to the stock 1" bars to use that type.

I really dislike all the locks. Just seem downright unsafe. The Brakeaway is the only one that doesn't give me the willies.

A real cruise control may set you back hundreds but it should be much safer. Until then I'll just use a Throttle rocker or equivalent.

Order from throttlemeister website. You can get what ever finish you like. If adjusted correctly, The Throttlemeister doesn't completely lock the throttle. Just holds it in a set position.

I'm not really sure what you are referring to or describing? I didn't have to move the switch assembly at all. The unit fits over the stock throttle grip. I did have to take the grip off and remove the molded part that flares out to fair into the housing. So you essentially lose about 1/2" of surface area on the throttle grip. I have really large hands and it fits mine perfectly even with the wrist paddle still on it.

%^**^&^&^()(*&*&% spell checker, that was supposed top be for Lickety Split? not Rickety Split.............

Anyway there are better pic's there. For $175 you can't beat it. It's way safer than friction locks IMHO.

+1

I have the Kaoko on my Rocket. I rarely use it. Not a fan of the locks. Prefer real cruise control but haven't gotten to the point that I need to spend a grand on it. I have the Cramp Buster and that works OK for me.
