What the heck are those little light bulbs for in the R3 headlight assembly?
I found a use for them

I bought 1 set of red ones and 1 set of blue ones, I'll try the red ones out 1st since my bike is the faster red color!!!

They don't show up that great in the pics but not bad in the daylight, probably show up pretty goos at night.

just be careful...lots of police agencies don't like people putting red and blue lights in the front of vehicles.

I've been running the blue ones for 3 years now.

That's a hell of a boat that rockets pullin

 that's actually my pickup truck, good observ though.

How do the blue ones look?

Reds look pretty good at night, will have to see if the fuzz gives me a hard time and if so I'll try the blue ones. If they bug me with the blues, I'll go for the ambers (which wouldn't look too bad since R3's don't have running lights in the front. Boy I wish someone would answer me on the clear lenses for the blinkers :(

I have orange in mine and I would agree, check your local laws on the red and blue in there. I doubt you'd get caught with it because once the H4s are on, you can't really notice but it does look pretty cool when you set the ignition to park.

I'm trying to find LEDs to fit in there.

They did have some LED's at Advance Auto with the same base in Amber, I'm sure they have other colors. Ck out that LED site I posted on the LED tailight thread

You know...

I can't stand those flashing headlights that some people put in, I can't remember what they're called but I know they do increase safety dramatically.

I wonder what it would look like if just the little pilots flashed.

Could be enough to notice and subtle enough to not impact nighttime driving.

Just a thought.

Very Good idea  Get a blinking modulator from Hyperlites.com and some LEDs from LEDlights.com and make your own setup. It should work perfectly and the LEDs should last forever. Let us know what you find out.

I put leds in mine awhile back........ here is the link to the info............. and yes they are bright
