Thinking of supercharging.

Hi for those that dont know me i have fitted a rocket 3 into my farm quad bike . Bike goes great with plenty of power but im thinking of making her a bit more theatrical by fitting on a supercharger. I have room at the front being a quad so was thinking along the lines of a m62 eaton or a sc14 or similar . Only chasing 6lb boost does anyone know what the stock injectors are good for and think of any other obstacles i would be facing thanks.I have tuneecu off my phone would there be a sufficient tune available or would i have to get another source of tuning?. How about a twin turbo charger set up? I have no idea about logistics but twin turbos always seems best.

Really, on the Rocket, I think it should be a triple.

Twin turbos on a triple would need a really weird exhaust setup. Three small ones should be do-able, would again need a complicated set of manifolds.

Pick up a used TTS kit, that would be easiest.

You'd have to massively underdrive the m62 considering it normally provides 8 ish psi to a 3800. What do the sc14 come off of? You also have to make your own intake platform to mount it on. Doable but sounds like a headache.

Thanks for the reply guys a turbo set up automatically sounds like more trouble as in more heat , oil lines , intercooler , exhaust modifications , harder to tune. The supercharger however is more familiar to myself , i fitted a m90 to my lexus 4lt v8 buggy for under $700 . The mechanical side of things is no problem how ever the tuning side of things is the grey matter. I am only chasing low boost hopefully around 200 hp would be nice . I know picking up a second hand blower and fitting it in with plumbing is no challenge for me only concern is do i have to fork out a lot of money to get it running right. I am tending to lean for the sc14 blower becuse there cheap can run in any direction and can be switched on and off.

Your best bet is a used TTS kit when it comes to having it bolt on the engine without any hassles. As for limiting boost you can always bump the pulley up on the SC so it is close to a 1:1 ratio between crank and SC. Or if you want as much down low just add a BLV to control the boost level. Or maybe both. Truthfully after seeing the videos of it running I can't imagine one with a blower You sir are a Nutter but then so am I
