Thank-you TriumPhil

turned out to be a good weekend for a ride. was in the mid to upper 60's most of the weekend. did get a bit cool down along the coast, but was still worth it.

you northerners need to get your bike in a trailer and come south for some good weather and rides.

Please try and bottle that weather or tie it down, be home in 4 weeks. Should be nice. Spring is in the air woohoo.

well the weather is definatly getting better.
ride in this morning was a bit chilly. (41) but sun is out and aleady warming to the point where you can go fingerless on the gloves.

that said, I do miss riding the old sporty into work during the cold months of febuary when I worked back in milwaukee.

:D

I call the dialect down there "sloppy Spanish" as they tend to drop their esses and pepper their speed rap with lots of Slanglish and Spanglish. A very beautiful indigenous culture!;)

Just 20-30 minutes north of there depending on which side of the resevoir you're on.

I live about 5 minutes from here:

Long Valley Pub & Brewery

I sent you a PM(private message)yesterday, Mark, in response to your first inquiry. Did you receive it?

I went into a hardware store to get some brown paint, and couldn't remember the word for 'brown', so I asked "Como se dice brown en Espanol?"
A couple of them got together, shrugged their shoulders, and said 'Brown esta brown.'
I didn't feel so bad about forgetting the word for brown. (I think was looking for 'moreno' but that may only apply to hair.)

Some of the gringos on base couldn't believe I was living off base. Some of them actually told me the locals would carry machattes just to attack gringos. Some of them lived there three years and never stepped foot off base. My group mingled with no problems.
