hey everyone happy new year i was really interested in one of the posts on relocating the switch that one of the members posted. it has been to cold here in ny to do it right now but i was going to start as soon as i could get all the parts needed that the previous post showed. than looking around the net i found that there is a kit that comes with the wire harness and a mounting plate and a cap that plugs the original hole. it is 49.00 us and i thought i would share it with you http://www.british-customs.com/rivco-tr ... n-kit.html hope it helps anyone looking to do the relocation. ride safe.

Was thinking about this mayself but if you relocate your ignition switch does this mean you also remove the steering lock?

Yes.

But the steering lock is worthless anyway.

One good kick to your bars will snap the lock.

That kit will not fit an 08 or 09 or any bike with the upgraded switch harness. The connections are not the same

it says it is a new setup the other set up they have says up to 07 modles so i bought this setup

Cuznjohn, I emailed Rivco about a month ago and they said they are not making the new setup. Just looked on their website and it states that it will not fit 08 and 09 models. I hope I'm wrong on this, let us know how it does when you get it because I'll be ordering one if it fits.

ok i did some checking and you are right about the kit i found this on the rivco site http://www.rivcoproducts.com/products/p ... age=1&js=n and i do agree with you that it says will not fit the 08 and up bikes but now i foung this on british customs http://www.british-customs.com/rivco-tr ... n-kit.html and that is the reason i ordered it as far as i can see it has a different sku number. so if i am wrong i guess i am sending the item back but thanks for your help. ride safe

re switch relocation again

ok i could not remove the old key switch no matter what i did but i had ordered the digi guard dawg keyless system and installed it today so i left the key switch where it was so i still have a wheel lock and i parreled the guard dawg into the system and it works great and if the dawg system fails for any reason i can still use the key for starting the bike. i also installed the triple k&n's and the air temp filtet and crank case filter. i am not a bike mechanic but so far so good. thanks for all your help guys and i am sending the sw. relocator system back to rivco.
