Such a QUANDARY.............

Hey, I was just being funny. :) If what I bought when I got the Rocket had pleased my partner at the time it would have been some new shoes for her and maybe a holiday. And I'd still have my Vulcan because "there was nothing wrong with it"... She never said it directly but it was, thankfully, a case of "me or the bike".

after 4 850 mile strait thru's on my storm in 2 weeks I decided to go for the r3t, The dlr could only let me test drive an 06 classic he had just picked up on trade, don't get me wrong the Storm's a nice bike but after test riding the classic with pipes I was hooked, I even let go of the r3t dream and just bought the classic. The rocket motor besides having instant power it's so much quieter i mean my storm rattled & clanked nearly as much as my harley did, this rocket just goes. This is a tbird forum so i'll mention how much better the 6 speed tranny is and i miss my clock & gas gauge. the bird dipped into turns better than any other cruiser i've been on but here in cornfield usa not that important. even though the storm can't compete with the r3's speed I enjoyed the catapalt like feel accelerating from 35mph in 6th gear. I was confused to see 2 cruisers from triumph for nearly the same money but they do have thier own markets.

I rode my first Rocket while waiting to test ride a T'bird, just to fill in time. Always thought they were too big and unnecessary and that the 'Bird was what I'd been waiting for. I was wrong. Bought my Rocket at the first opportunity.

Wow, this is an old thread!
