Stebel Nautilus question for anyone who has seperated the horn from the compressor ...

My bike is in at a dealer who has just seperated the horn from the compressor. The compressor is located in the old air cleaner box.

Dealer states "the horn is weak when seperated and connected by rubber pipe".

I am thinking that they should have used a more rigid plastic pipe. Any tips are welcome ........................................

I have a similar setup and my horn is plenty loud. Sounds like they may have the hose pinched off somewhere.

I think you may well be right.

Mines is PLENTY LOUD and I have hose going from the left side cover to the frontend of the bike.
dealer ain't right.
Probably about 3 feet worth of clear tubing, (hose).

I ran mine through rubber hose (about three feet). Didn't notice any loss of volume.

Good point, I did put a relay in mine. Maybe that has something to do with it.
