I have never been able to make heads or tails Triumph's numbering system myself.

I think I posted a while ago in another thread about the '>' symbol used before or after the VIN number, instead of the correct mathematical symbol '<' or '>' and then the VIN number. And then some dealers trying to help present it in words as as 'before' or 'after' but sometimes get them reversed - I have seen them all.

thanks for the info so far. Nat67 made this thread in hell to sort my issue.

Problem is on switching power on I have no sweep from speedo and it no longer works when riding! Is this a common fault? I’ve checked connectors and done the 3 wire mod under the tank but still the same!

Pulling hair out big time, don’t fancy spending £££ on a speedo to find out it’s not the problem. Its only done 12k and always garaged.

Thoughts? Any one had the same issue and managed to fix it?

Common? - well not that common. But it does occur and so far - replacement has been the cure.

well why have you not reverse engineered one yet ? was counting on you to have the answers ! Is it because your attentions have now turned to mini bikes ?

We (Spain) have engineered a solution - read the thread. I like mini-bikes
