Sending unit

Finally got my 05 rocket running....now I need the low fuel level float (sending unit) new models have a plastic housing I need the metal housing used on earlier models does anyone know where I can get the earlier unit?...any help appreciated

I didn't even think of pinwall, I have a friend that actually knows the owner.....and I have bought parts from their ebay store. Thanks I'll try calling them today

Just in case you don't already know..... If your clutch switch goes out your fuel gauge will not work. If you can start your bike without pulling in the clutch you need a new/used one. Last time I got that part from PinWall- very reasonable.

Thanks for the info.....bike only starts with clutch lever pulled so switch is working.. just hoping to find the original float

If the float isn't working then it's either stuck or has a hole in it. If it's stuck then unstick it. If it has a hole then a little dab of Areldite will seal the hole.
