Welcome to the forum. What we need around here is a Roadster wiring diagram. I doubt it's much different than the others but it would be helpful for diagnosing electrical gremlins.
That said it sounds like the switch, not harness is the problem. The rear brake lever switch gets power from the same circuit that powers the horn. Does the horn blow constantly after the button is released? The front brake lever also closes the rear brake switch circuit, so is the light stuck on with the front brake applied? If not then the switch at the rear brake pedal is the culprit. The wiring diagram is a useful tool if you know how to read it.
