I've looked through the forums here and scoured the web for good information. I realize the subject is rather subjective to the individual rider but I'd like to know peoples opinions on the various after-market (or dealer offerings) seat options. There's quite a bit about Russel day-longs and a smattering of Corbin info but I don't really see anything about Cee Bailey, Spencer's, Kontour, Mean City Cycles, Mike's customs and some of the other ones out there. I am also wondering if the stock seat may be fairly comfortable and people aren't swapping theirs out (I'm 6'2" and bought my R3 used from a guy 5'7", he had the stock seat "lowered" an inch and a half, I'm guessing by shaving off some foam because I can't last more than an hour without getting monkey butt :(). I'm leaning towards Cee Bailey's, Kontour was on my list but I've seen mixed reviews, Corbin doesn't seem to make a seat without backrests that would be comfortable for 2-up riding. Triumph makes a few upgrades but they are prohibitively expensive and I have not heard much about them.

Before dropping $400-800 I'd like to get some input from other R3 owners.

Try Spencer first. Very reasonable with the price and, after having a Corbin and a few others, for me his seat mod is better than all of them. Do get the LD option for $25 extra. Well worth it.
