At day break the wife got up. she said really. Full leathers and the full face helmet. Had a blast on the back roads of Oklahoma. Need to buy some new front foot pegs. First time after 30,000 miles rode her like a biych in heat. Cleaned her up a bit after getting home. Really had some fun today.
OH no - that reminds me of a bike a mate had in the early '80's. We met on a RAC/ACU bike training course. He was a dyed in the wool oddball. He bought a "chopper" frame which had re-bar forks. He was constantly cornering in a straight line.
He fitted in some old lump of an engine which was frankly not in a good state - but swore it was a brilliant bike - despite regularly being overhauled by Yamaha FS-1E's. UK guys know what a fizzy was - a Moped. But his was a British Bike you see. And "all" I had was a CJ250T Honda. Then we passed our tests and could upgrade. About the same time I bought my first Guzzi (a used 850-T3) he bought a Triumph T140J. We had to stop every 50 miles coz his hands were numb.
Lost touch with him when I started doing practice hauls for 1000 mile runs across Europe. Wasn't natural to sit for so long - apparently.
Lost touch completely when I left the UK. He's still about I understand - but still an oddball.

Whilst I have no idea where he lives, I know exactly where he works - where he always has. He's a truly gifted Locksmith. Alot of Jewelers are glad he is a straight forward honest bloke. Odd, but honest.
But I don't imagine he would venture far abroad (like Devon) for long. Hell it's another county.
Tried to get him to go to a M/C show in Birmingham once - he went all quiet.
