Sorry you aroused my curiousity if they sell in the UK, there standard is high.
anyway out if interest I contacted them and asked about the safety standard

the roof helmets comes with Double european certification (ECE) and usually it's better than DOT cerification.
They don't have the dot certification, homever we sell many roof helmets in the usa.

I would go for a DOT helmet every time, there was a programe on tv not long back about making and testing crash helmets (very interesting), in the EU we tell the testers were to drop a 'ball hamer' type machine to test for strength (so the makers reinforse that tiny area) where as the DOT helmet any area can be tested at random..
