Rode a few Harleys yesterday and.......

I first rode the Road Glide custom, I liked the looks. It was a good looking bike with average pick up but did ride smooth, however since most Harley's are similar in size I knew where this was going as I felt like a shriner in a parade. I was uncomfortable on the small bike and could not see me riding it over 30-40 minutes at a time.

Next I tried the Electra Glide Ultra Classic- A white one that I thought was beautiful. it rode excellent and the 103 power was surprising but again that small tank felt like a minin bike and the handle bars were so close together.

I rode one more because it was supposedly the cream of the crop, A CVO street glide and the extra power was noticable but the size thing came into play and then I heard price, crap I could buy a new challenger for that kind of jack or a decent truck.

Rides like these make me appreciate the R3T that much more, especially after hearing the price of the others.

Had to look up the CVO, wondering on the price ... wow, starting at $36,799! I can't contemplate the crazy fun you could using the same coin buying an R3T and the rest of that $37k modifying it. I have nothing against Harleys per se, but this sure is a good example of one of the reasons I don't go that route.

Interesting comment about the small tank. One of my few complaints about the R3T is the width of the tank. Maybe if I was shorter it would not be an issue, but I would certainly like a narrower tank.

Harry, they have surgeries now to shorten your legs if that is still a problem. Otherwise, may I suggest you go horse riding a few times a week. The rocekt tanks becomes less of a concern afterwards... Just trying to help as always...
