Rockets Across America III

Has anybody considered a patch and/or pin for this memorable event? I bet we've got some awsome artistic talent hereabouts.
anybody with an idea and a moderant amount of talent want to give this a shot? I'll buy at least two of each. Ya'll take care, and ride safe. To God be the glory, xhdskip

Been a week now with no reply, no volunteers, no comments..
I contacted a patch and pin place today, told them kinda what I had in mind, they said they could and would draw something up. they said they'll send me a brouchure and a drawing or two, to see if we like it. Guess I ned to figure this picture thing out pretty quick, so I can post some pics. y'all take care. To GOD be the Glory, xhdskip

YA

We started out with fire under our you know whats but then everything went dead:cool:
It also seams the places keep drifting more and more east. It's going to be interesting were we will end up if this comes together:rolleyes:

It seems like I heard Pig9r mention a week or so ago he'd have the details worked out "in a day or two", as soon as I hear from the patch and pin folks in Tejas we'll need to get a poll going so we can vote on what we want. If anyone else has any ideas, drawings, or whatever, PM them to me and I'll forward ideas, sketches, ect on to the patch folks. They ask for 2-8 weeks to get it right. C'mon guys.
To GOD be the Glory.

Did I miss something? Was a date and place established? I see posts about patchs and pins for a event that doesn't exist. I wanna be part of it, but talk about getting the cart before the horse.

nope RikRok, you didn't miss anything yet, we're still waittin' on Pig9r to tell us somethin' firm on date, and place, (sure hope hes ok) but I'd rather not wait till the last minute, especially if its gonna take 8 weeks to get pins and/or patches AFTER they have a sketch in hand. (I quit procastinating after I quit weed several yrs. ago. Now its all about get-er-done) no one else seemed to take the idea on to the next level, At least that I've heard about. If someone else has already got this ball rolling, let me know. I haven't ordered anything yet, and can sure shut it down double quick. I just thought we'd ALL probally like a pin or patch to commerate this one.

Sorry I was out of town last week and thought I could get more done than I could. If someone else would like to take control of the planning be my guest.

What I am thinking so far the weekend of June 21 & 22. As far as a location, I have a few possibilities based on people's responses, (in no particular order):

1. Maggie Valley http://smokymountainrides.com/

2. Eureka Springs, Arkansas http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/Motorcycling/

3. Birmingham, Alabama (Barber Museum) http://barbermuseum.org/index.html

4. Steamboat Springs, Colorado http://www.triumph.co.uk/media/CO_Steamboat_Springs_Long_Loop_030706.pdf

3. Some where around Nashville again

When deciding on a location, we need to keep in mind a location that would allow the most folks to attend. Same with the date, if there is something that works out better that would allow more to attend, then lets change it.

My first vote is for Eureka Springs. I have some friends that went on a riding trip there last fall and said there is some great riding from there into Oklahoma. Many M/C friendly places to stay. One motel in particular has rooms and camping on the grounds.

My second vote is for Birmingham.

Pig9r

We need to keep majority but I can't do June not sure about ofthere TX cap's but we have our ROT rally on June 13-15 and I will be just coming home from TN June first so I would be out for June, Also Alabama would be to fare out wouldbe able to get theat much time off.
But again we should stick with what the majority can do.

I am very new to the forum But thought I would put my 2cents in for locations. I have never attended the RAA before but would like to attend this year if possible. I would be nice to plan this event around an existing bike rally. There are several I have researched around some of the areas mentioned. See Links below.
