I will be buying one soon for my dad talked to motortrike they are doing them last week they had 64 on order not bad for being out 1 month

Big ask don't you think .. Rockets worldwide have got a very limited market . I'd imagine the market for a RIII trike would be miniscule .. lucky to even have an aftermarket trike option I reckon.

Might be a miniscule option for me if my surgery next Jan dont work.......

I have been scouring the market for rocket trikes for 3 years or more, started with health issues with SWMBO, which have improved, decreasing need for three wheels. Every year, all sources on the internet - 2 or 3 available, usually 2005 or 2006 models.
The chatter from some fans is that the R3 will be dropped.
Their own trike - not a chance.
I'm just glad they they are expanding the market.
Hannigan is working on a nice conversion too.
For a trike, REWACO is top of the line, and a price tag to match. Get to $20k pretty quick (plus donor), but includes reverse.
Now available stateside.

I really like the Watsonian side car. Perfectly made for the R3, IMO.

I take back my comment . Genuinely surprised there is that sort of interest when there are kits already for all the other marques already available and out there .. new and second hand .. there you go , shows how much I know .

I have heard sad stories of dealers not doing well with Rocket conversions - MotorTrike in particular.
They all say they can do them, but they want to experiment on yours.
The Beast is no Goldwing. A handful of R3 trikes, boatloads of GW trikes.
I have yet to have an internet discussion with a satisfied R3 conversion user. I've been hanging around the trike board for years.

Triumph giving their seal of approval will be a game changer, IMO.

I've seen the photos, mostly in the UK, I realize it has been done successfully.
The U.S. is a big market, and Grinnall and Rewaco not available until recently.

Ken at Triumph Manassas has one on order he tells me. I will go by and check it out when it comes in; unless he sells it too quickly...

all I know is it surprised me they had that many on order as they are doing them at mototrike and then sending them to the dealer they locked the deal in with triumph at least thats is what they and the triumph rep told me

I talked to a salesman in a dealership, asked about the Rewaco conversion in their website photo.
He did not understand what I was talking about. A Rewaco rep later called them and pointed out their error.
They switched out for a Motortrike conversion photo - blue - even though color choices are burgundy or black.
The salesman told me they order the trike through Triumph, it stops somewhere and gets converted before delivery, full Triumph warranty on the trike.
Not the local shops putting them together.
Motortrike staff trained by Triumph, or Triumph staff trained by Motortrike. Maybe a team, haven't heard.
Sounds like they are doing the conversions as fast as they can.
I'm surprised the number as well. Corporate may be giving incentives for each dealer to stock one - just speculation on my part.
I think they will sell well from the floor.
An R3 offers a very nice alternative to the dependable but boring GW.
Some of those unhappy Trigliders may switch over.
