a while ago some of us in the soon to be geriatric gang discussed the pro and con of trailering in the end to each his own whatever the reason ..and as I partaked in the discussion I posted the picture of the trailer I use it is a 2 horse trailer modified for 200 horsepower no piss no poop no smell just strong for the job.
I wanted a dual axle and brakes and horsetrailers all over have dual axles which in my book is far superior than single , split the weight distribution , but mostly resist fishtailing and that is the biggest advantage ... do not ask how I know!! the only problem with the one I found in good shape all around did not have a ramp built in like some do but the standard middlepost and dual rear doors so I managed to make the post removeable and carried a ramp inside but as time goes by and the years piling on my old bones I took the bait once more and having too much time on my hands I grabbed the angle grinder and started to cut the doors , post, and anything in the way to be replaced by a single door hinged on the bottom that will act as a ramp as well as a door ,since I had the tools in hand I also twicked the lockdown system holding the bike straight up in the middle of the trailer 'without use of straps tis frame held
sometime in the future when i can no longer handle the beast somebody will buy no doubts this trailer along with the mean rocket and all the spares like tires ( I have 3 rear and two front ) plugs back rest panniers etc etc . meanwhile I will keep riding to mexico this winter , then ride the eastern alps next summer and why not go visit @barbagris in madrid after which ,,,, time will tell .
rant is over pictures of mods when the wx improves a bit

As time goes on it seems the Ol body can't take long hauls. I have an enclosed, nothing fancy, but the problem is that I can't sit in a car or truck very long. I guess I'll keep sucking it up and keep riding.

Truly sux if ya can't sit a car or truck longer than your motor!
At 72, I ponder frequently how many more years I shall be gifted with the ability to ride my motors cross country and average 300 miles per day of non slab riding. :cautious: :(

Why not indeed.
I missed the first meet was in ??? cannot remember the time but I plan on putting my rocket 's wheels next year in frankfurt in june and later on go to either zazuar or bilbao obviously your neck of the woods and Madrid being just around the corner so to speak..

Me too Steve. I try not to dwell on it but the concern is always lurking in the background. I hope with new knee parts, weight loss, proper diet and regular trips to the gym I will extend my riding years.

Me, I'm riding up into northern Alberta next year.

No hurry on either. I'm up and around now but neither of us, and certainly not the chock, are probably going anywhere anytime soon. If you decide to stop on over, pls to give me a one day heads up. The chock is over at my friend Cameron's so need to ensure he'll be home. You met him that day you, Rob and your brother came over.
