Rocket Roger in today's news paper

I just received the following message from Roger's daughter, Deborah Carr:

Hello R3owners!
I just shared the donation update with dad, he wanted to send his own message below :

I miss being on the R3Owners blog to chat with fellow bikers and to read information. Hope to be back on blog soon. My family and I are very thankful for your generous donation, thoughts, and prayers you have expressed over the past 8 weeks. I hope to be on my own 2 feet before summer!!
RocketRoger

Thank you all for showing what true brotherhood means!
Deborah

That's great!

I know these last few weeks is the most I've prayed since I was flunking algebra II back in 1968!

Thanks Gents,

Knee, elbow and ankle are healing nicely. Have a HUGE hematoba on my arse that is keeping me home from work. Lab work all came back good so now it is just going to take time for my body to heal... The Rocket is a total loss with $13,700 in damage... ;-(

Buck: What the H*ll happened?????

That's not what his wife, Teri, and daughter, Deborah, have told me in the past.

However, as the article cited, Roger and his family are devout Christians, so maybe they turned the other cheek.

Anyhow, I'm not really as concerned with the cause of Roger's accident so much as I am about its effect.

Keep improving, Roger!!!
Well said, Phil...

Buck, Sorry to hear about your unscheduled off, but happy to hear you are recovering. I hope the insurance will take care of the Bike...

The latest update from Mrs. Cox:

"GM Phil,
Just a quick update. We are in Yakima, Wa at Good Samaritan Rehab and Nursing Skilled Facility. Roger is in full force of every therapy offered. In and out if wheelchair, lots of leg movements, ankle stretches, knee bends and some light foot touching floor but not weight bearing yet. Also lots of exercises for his left wrist and a lot of arm movement. Speech therapy as well and can have normal food and drinks no longer reduced to thick nectar. His wish was to no longer have those nasty thick drinks. He is now enjoying water as he did before. He is in great spirits and wakes with physical (therapy on his) mind. He is also slowly using his iPad and we are trying to get on the 3ROwners blog but somehow he can't remember his password. We will get there. Thank God we are doing just fine. Please share with fellow bloggers. Thanking everyone for their support. Teri"

Teri just dropped me another line to let me know that Roger has remembered his password for this site and that he has responded to one of Boog's posts here, which I was unable to find...

Yes guys, I got a short PM from Roger today, with him holding up a dumbell in his left hand working out. My day is about 100 times brighter now! Keep on going Roger, you're looking great!
