I still remember the 1st time I heard that song

I was in the 6th grade tagging along with my Dad to the bar he worked at to do some stocking before the bar opened. He gave me a quarter painted red (the bars quarter) to play songs with.

I don't remember any other songs I played that day except that one. It really struck a cord with me.

That's what I call a great "anchor" memory, Jim.

Given that I was well past puberty and living in a wild and crazy SoCal beach town when that classic came out, the song evokes considerably more X-XXX rated memories and dat's all gooood for me... some days , alls' I got to get me through are good memories!!!
