Glad you liked the links.

The lawn mower was build and driven by a famous race drived. It's powered by a 1000cc MC motor and was geared for 240 km/h. He say in the film that he did + 200 km/h as he thought that was his maximum speed, but he only did 149 km/h. Even with his experiance he was foled by the speedometer showing to much due to the wheel spinn. Still his nylon tires expanded so much that they scredded the fenders and I was beaten by a lawn mover by 1 km/h.

Toy: There are a few pictures of the bike in those links and quite a few in the album of this site. Both of the bike, close up on the tires and dyno print out.

About the old American cars there are a lot to say. Especially the ones from the 50is has been very popular ever since they where new. There are many much loved ones in every second garage and we still keep importing them. Lately even older cars has grown in popularity and the rat rods are getting very common. If there is not a high performence enging inside, there is a good chance that it is a flathead engines. There where at least 2 flatheads racing that week end.

Same thing with Harleys. Panhead is regarded as the last real HD. There have been so many old bikes imported that since the past 20 years, many has been sold back to US.
