Rocket III vs Kawasaki H2 race

Wonder how well it'd do following Marc Marquez

That is some bloody lean!
I guarantee he would be a lot closer than any Rocket regardless of any "modding"

Mates, as a native German speaker I have read that test thoroughly, when it came out. That Rocket actually had a broken clutch and some other odd problems during the test, so despite the engine tuning it made only 11.3 in the 1/4 mile.

Most interestingly, an 11.3 run should come with a trap speed of about 115mph. But at 10.9 the Rocket reportedly reached 125mph - and stopped to accelerate right there, staying at the same speed until the end of the race. Trap speed was still 125mph! So I am afraid it may have bounced against the stock speed limiter.

So whatever happened during that drag race, obviously there is something wrong.

To me, it felt like an embarassment they even made this comparison public in the Motorrad Magazine. They should have waited for the bike to be fixed, and tried again.

A local friend that I ride with has an H2. I believe he is not getting about 270 hp at the rear wheel. He's a custom tuner who gets ECUs from all over the world to do what he calls a 360 degree tune.

Loves my Rocket and wants to help me with the tune. The first step is to examine the TuneECU software and then the tune that I download from the link on this web site for the Touring.

It is interesting how he got in this business. Years ago he had a beautiful go fast Ducatti with a Power Commander. I'd just installed the tune that HanSo had tweaked for me and suggested to him to can the add ons and find a way to change the tune in his ECU. Being a brilliant guy he did so and now stays very busy.

That's all fine but can the H2 pull out a tree stump? I think not ;)

I don't think even a rocket could pull out a decent tree stump even with "a good clutch",leave that to the big Kahoonas like Boss Hogs, our Mack can pull a 40tonne trailer like a 4WD pulls a box trailer but a Toyota Yaris can blow it off at the lights ,different horses for different courses

Another friend and I exchanged bikes the other day. He took my Rocket and I his Indian Scout. He had a go fast Indian Chieftan but was almost killed on it last July when a young lady in her brand new Prius was texting a friend as she turned left in front of him

In any event, the Scout is an extremely fast machine. What is different with the Rocket is the mind bending torque. It almost hits ya in the chest. I can't wait to open up my Touring. My buddy loved it.
