Roadster foot controls on a rocket

So is it pretty much a straight swap between a Roadster and Touring, I assume they are both ABS, maybe longer lines. I feel the Roadster pegs are too far back, it is a cruiser not a sport or standard bike, my knees are higher than my hips
Not sure about a straight swap touring and roadster. Classic and standard have the same mount. Not all tourings have ABS

You 2 guys just need to get together and swap your whole pegs set up over. It isn't completely straight forward but between the 2 of you is shouldn't be too hard to work it out. The biggest hurdle will be relocating the foot brake assemblies. There's a couple of "how to" threads on here if you search.

And once more, THIS IS NO SUCH THING AS 2010 CLASSIC. It makes no difference when it was bought or first registered when it comes to how they were put together.

Touring boards won't solve your problem. You need a Standard set up if you want pegs and most likely the accessory boards off a Standard as well if you want boards. The Classic boards sit lower to the ground and don't have that same forward feel that I think you're after.

So far I have seen Roadster pegs and rails mounted on a standard 09 as Peter stated and it looked like the only real modification was a brake line. I have seen the Classic Floor boards kit rails and all on a Roadster in Oz and Cad conversions is doing his in Kentucky only he has the floor board kit for the standard rails. I have not seen and Touring rails and floor boards on any Standard, Classic, or Roadster yet. It does not mean it won't work someone just has to try it to see if the rails mount the same in the back on the frame. The front on the engine is the same. So I would suspect the only real mod would be possible a brake line in case the touring is different. If a couple guys could get together over a couple cold ones the easiest first test would be the shifter side. All you need to do first is just unhook the shift linkage from the ball on the shifter and the 6 rail bolts (27NM) on each to see if it fits. Depending on the beer consumption this could be done in say 30 minutes more if your thirsty and want to evaluate while working. Lord knows you should not let the beer get warm!

I kinda like where the roadster pegs are at. I should mention that I'm only 5'11" so the seating position for me is fairly neutral. When I want to stretch I use my highway pegs.
