Rivco risers on a Roadster

]
Akbusa1,
Here are some close up pictures of the risers installed on my Rocket. You can see that the instruments still attach to the crossbar on top of the handlebars, just like they do before. Mine may look different, but it is only because I have put a RAM mount on top of the instrument cluster hold down bolts. The Ram mount holds my cell phone, which also then acts as my GPS and radio.
Let me know if there are any more questions or different angles you would like a photo from. Good luck with your quest and I am sure you will find just the way you want it one way or another.

Hey n3716e,
Thanks for the pics. I too am a rocket 3 roadster newbie. Do you know if the riser will fit a 2016 roadster? Also, I read on the forum about not being able to lift the tank without taking off the gauges/ handlebars..etc? I'm a little confused about that. Any advice/insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes the risers should fit a 2016 model because there hasn't been any changes to the Roadster since day one except cosmetic. Once the Risers are in place and the tank needs to be lifted the gauges need to be removed and laid to the side. Two bolts hold the gauges in place. However some that have the risers have managed to figure out a way to lift the tank without taking the gauges loose.

I'm interested in ordering up a set of Risers for my Roadster, how can I be sure I am ordering the right one that fits the roadster vs. the Touring model?

Thanks, mully95. Got the risers ordered and coming!

Hey Ricochet,
I just ordered a set of risers for my 2016 Roadster as well. So the touring model, I believe has the product number: TR3017-TR and the roadster model's product number is just TR3017. They both look different too. (Maybe a veteran rocketeer can confirm). Sells for US$182.95 on their site. However, I bought mine through Cruiser Customizing. Rivco Handlebar Risers with Caps - Triumph Rocket III .
Same price, but at checkout if you put in coupon code: C123, saves US$10 and it was free shipping for me so I ended paying $172.95 . I dunno if coupon/shipping would be the same to you, but wouldn't hurt to try it. Hopefully this helps.

Hey Baba, thanks for the tip!! I checked out your link and saw that you can save $10 for the product and they also have 60% off international shipping.. Even with all those discounts, the exchange rate was ... wow... I managed to find a Canadian Rivco distributor who is able to order the product for me and ship for free, I like to support local businesses.. so I've placed the order! I've got a herniated disc in my neck and I find that I do lean over too far on my handlebars on the Rocket and it hurts my neck. Looking forward to a more upright sitting position!

Sure, no problem! Awesome!!! Yeah, always good to support local when you can plus saving is awesome too! I think the more upright sitting position should help. That's what I'm hoping for. I have a bad back and get soreness on my neck too, so I also bought forward controls too to hopefully help me lean back a little more.

Hey n3716e,

I assume that the Rivco Risers will fit a 2016 since there have been no changes since 2014. As far as the inconvenience of the risers are concerned, most people do have to take off the gauges and lay them aside to lift the tank. What I find easier is taking the rear tank bolt out, lifting the tank out above the gauges and then sliding the bolt back into its slot until time to replace the tank. No better, just my preference.

The Rivco risers were one of the first upgrades I did to my 2014 Roadster. Your do not have to replace the cables and I like the handlebar position much, much better. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had to replace my bike.
Hey n3716e,

Any advice/ insight as the best way to go about installing the rivco risers for my roadster? I was looking at it, but seems like I have to re route the cables? Would you mind giving me a step by step on how you did the install?

Thanks!
