I know some of you have had to replace a harness. looks like I will have to do it on my 06 non classic. How much of a hassle it it and any tricks would be appreciated .

Right now I am having the ECU checked out to eliminate it as the problem. If it is the harness , then I will let you folks know what I find. Right now it will flat line at 3500 RPM. Plus the tach is bouncing , and will keep time with the tun signal. It worked real well a few weeks ago. Then I washed it . The problem came back. According to Wayne Tripp , the Tune ECU would have shown a bad coil. So it is either the ECU or harness.
As to whathappenedd, all I can say is that I am the third owner . There were a lot of thequickk / zip splices in the harness. Thought I got them all.

if ya get stuck finding a suitable harness for sale, i've one off a 06 standard

If it was good until you washed it then you started to get the problems you most likely have soap creating a ground or cross. I would wast it really well with clear water then spray it with wd-40. Should get rid of any electrical leakage. Then you know if it is a main harness issue.
