My touring had two star (6 point) bolts. Replaced them with Phillips. Hope I don't have to get under there too often.

So, please explain the difference???

Getting the allen key in there and trying to turn the bolt was fiddly. With the hex bolt just slide the socket with the extension over the head, easy as. Although I do have risers on and this tends to close the gap up a bit between tank and dash.
