Since it's somewhat related, I have a twin tank compressor back up in NY for running nail guns and such, and I'm still debating whether I want to buy a stationary compressor for my barn down here, and my portable seems to have gotten a lot heavier since I bought it years ago.
For just airing up tires, this is really handy, small and light, and got really good reviews for a Chinese cheapy, I paid $44.95 with my business account on Amazon, I think it showed 49.95 under my wife's account, she was going to buy it for me originally.
It takes a while to fill, and doesn't hold much, but if all you need is to top off motorcycle tires, I think it's a good deal, I don't think it weighs much over 20 lbs.
