raising idle speed

So now i understand about a bit more about adjusting the TPS and stepper motor,my question now is (as i'm at work and not in front of my bike) it is the nut on the end of the stepper motor i move to get a .5mm clearance and i have to make sure /adjust this before moving the TPS ?

I guess it can't hurt, doing mine this weekend. Got a rough idle at startup after the filter swap on mine.

I wouldn't worry about the .5mm clearance. Just run through the adjust ISCV procedure then when finished hit reset adaptation. Most likely the clearance is fine and even if it's a little off like it is on mine it will still be fine. The important part is getting the .12 difference between stepper motor retracted and extended and the ecu adapting to the exact voltages. If it still doesn't work right then start worring about the clearance but take into account that adjusting that is a compromise as it throws off the low end again as mentioned in the info in the link posted earlier by Rockethead.

"Reset Adaptives" and the 12 minute tune are sim ilar, but different. Resetting the adaptives will return all previous adaptions for altitude, temperature etc back to zero, allowing the ECU to adapt from factory setting to whatever conditions you are now in. The 12 minute tune will give the bike time to adjust itself to the current conditions in a safe manner, i.e. while the bike is not being ridden.

It now seems to have developed another buggy little problem after raising the idle speed in that the engine has cut out due to low rpm like pulling in the clutch and closing the throttle quick coming to a stop(did this once)
I've since adjusted the TPS from .61 up to .62 and the stepper motor .72v up to .74v which seemed to make the motor a bit crisper but it has cut out again a couple of times as before.
I have noticed that if you cut the throttle and pull in the clutch the engine revs go down to about 400rpm on the rev counter then after about 5 to 10 secs approx the revs rise to what i set them too.
Anyone got any ideas ?thanks

If it was not doing it before try putting it back and see if its still there. Have you just changed the TPS? If not when was the last time if any. Also have you cleaned and lubricated the throttle stepper motor and the linkages between the Throttle bodies?
